#HTBRP is a real life, no word count, freestyle app, character driven role play based in the fictional NorCal town of Ashwick Valley. We aim to offer a laid back, friendly, and diverse atmosphere for all kinds of writers, characters, and plots. We want to encourage any and all types of writers to join our site. Hey guys! The staff realizes that sometimes plotting can be tricky or just downright intimidating. Or maybe people keep plotting the same characters and ignoring the other ones. Or maybe you just suck at posting in shippers. Whatever the problem is, we wanted to give you guys a chance to advertise your plot-less/directionless characters and basically beg people for plots.

All you gotta do is comment in this thread with the code below and write a small blurb (like 2-3 sentences about the character's personality and whatever else you think is actually important-- no novels pls), what you're looking for (again we don't need novels), and a link to your shipper and/or the app. Keep it simple and to-the-point so people actually want to read it.

Here are a couple more guidelines:

▹ OFFER PLOTS. Don't just drop your characters in here without offering people plots in return. You gotta give a little to get a little, plus it shows initiative/that you're actually interested in branching out.

▹ BE CONCISE. 2-3 sentences should do it. You don't need rehash your characters' entire histories because nobody will read it and then you'll still be stuck without plots. Just link to your shipper and/or their app if you want to offer further details. Also please just keep this to the characters that really need plots. Don't be posting like 10 characters in here at once.

▹ BE OPEN MINDED. Just because you've never written with somebody or plotted with a certain type of character doesn't mean you won't love the plots you come up with. Go into this with an open mind and try to make it work; that's the whole point of being on a writing site.

▹ BE RECEPTIVE. If you're not willing to thread with anybody then this thread is not for you. If you're only interested in plotting with ~certain people than take your clique-y butt to those people's shippers. Don't post in this thread if you're just gonna blow off the posts and plots that people give to you. That's rude as fuck and it'll piss me off so much if you contaminate this thread with your rudeness, don't fucking do it. I'm cussing so you know I mean business.

▹ HAVE MUSE. If you don't actually have muse for the character you're posting with, don't bother with this thread. That's not the point and nobody wants to thread with a character you don't have muse for. This is for characters you want to write with, but have been struggling to get plots for for whatever reason. If/when this thread gets long enough, I'll probably make a master-list on the first page. So if you suddenly find yourself with too many plots (if that's even a thing) or if you drop a character or whatever, please tell us (post here or PM Dotty) so we can remove the character from the list.

What I'm looking for: tbh? clients, friends, almost anything. I really like the idea of a pretty-woman plot, as cliche as it is, so if anyone has a slightly wealthy fella who needs companionship, she'd really suit that. But she could also use some friends who don't know about what she's up to who would really disapprove so if you've got someone like that i'd love to see them too.

Character name: VALLANT KINCAID
Summary: he's a bar owner who does some shady dealings but he's mostly a good guy. He moved to LA from New Zealand and ended up in Ashwick because of the cheaper real estate. Was super hurt by a Mrs Robinson type relationship when he was younger so he's got some trust issues but he's still pretty fun to thread with.
What I'm looking for: a fling with an older woman, a tenant for the apartment beside his (he's also the landlord), bar staff, regulars -- tbh anything, i'd love to see something organic grow for him romantically but nothing seems to turn out so idk
